What is EQO?
EQO (pronounced echo) is a FREE application that brings free instant messaging, cheap calling and cheap texting to your mobile phone. Chat on the go using MSN, AIM, Yahoo, Google Talk, QQ (NEW!), ICQ and Jabber, or call and text anyone in the world at super-low rates. Invite your friends to join your EQO network and you can use EQO to call them at 50% off EQOs regular calling rate, or send them an EQO Message for free.

If you’ve ever used your mobile phone while traveling, you know how quickly expensive mobile roaming charges can add up. That’s why we created “EQO Traveler”, a brand new feature that can save you up to 80% on mobile roaming charges!
How Does EQO Traveler Work?
You can use EQO Traveler in one of two ways:
1. Using your existing mobile: When travelling, simply select “Traveler Mode” from your EQO Settings menu. Mobile VoIP calls made using EQO will still be routed to your existing mobile number, but they will use inbound roaming minutes which are typically cheaper*.
2. Purchase a travel SIM: When traveling, purchase a prepaid local SIM and insert it into your unlocked phone. From the EQO Settings menu, choose “Traveler Mode”, and edit the mobile number to that of your destination country’s prepaid SIM. Calls will now automatically be routed to this local number.

Savings vary across different mobile operators and calling locations/destinations. Generally speaking, you will experience greater savings using EQO along with a prepaid travel SIM. Below are some examples of the savings that you will experience when using EQO Traveler:
